The Talladega Cup Serie race limelight was entirely taken by 23XI Racing. Tyler Redick won the race with last lap overtake amidst the big one, marking the sides second win at Talladega. The presence of Michael Jordan in the victory lane with the race winner was big for the sport as it attracted a lot of new eyes to the sport.

During the post-race interview, Denny Hamlin the teams’ co-owner was asked about the presence of Michael Jordan and how it helps NASCAR. He pointed out that 23XI Racing a very important for the sport. He also highlighted that having the NBA legend in the pit-box helps them to get more sponsorships, helps the manufacture as well as increase the team moral.

Yeah, 23XI is very important to this sport, absolutely. If we could get everyone to see that as much as we do (laughing). It is. It’s good for everything you can imagine. You’re talking sponsorship, your manufacturers, your team morale. Denny Hamlin said via Speedway Digest.

The three times Daytona 500 champion went on to point out that he likes to see the Talladega scenes repeating more often. He also urged NASCAR and 23XI Racin fans to savor the moments they are enjoying at the moment.

It’s just so good, and it is in so many different ways. Certainly you like to have more of these opportunities happen more and more often because they’re all of equal importance, and they all make you feel just as good. You definitely want to savor them. Denny Hamlin said.

Denny Hamlin is envious of No:45 teams’ Jumpman paint schemes

In the same interview Denny Hamlin talked about the No:45 Toyota’s Jumpman paint scheme that got into the victory lane. He admitted that he envies the 45 car and how luck Tyler Reddick is with his Jumpman sponsorship deal.

It definitely adds to it. Every little thing adds to how special it is for sure. I was very envious when I saw kind of the scheme design for this weekend, that 45, and I saw it in the shop. Very envious of that 45 car for sure. Denny Hamlin said.

The whole 23XI Racing team seems to have enjoyed the presence of MJ on Sunday and the win by Reddick brought in an extra layer of happiness. Going into next race weekends, it would be interesting to see if MJ visits races more often and whether 23XI continue winning.
