Things have ended early at Darlington for Hailie Deegan. That awesome Dale Earnhardt throwback was shredded in the process, too. When you blow a left rear tire, things can get damaged in a hurry in a NASCAR race car.

Hailie Deegan had a great No. 15 Airbox Ford Mustang. It was a really strong throwback design to Dale Sr.’s No. Wrangler Jeans car from back in the day. Things did not end well for Deegan at The Lady in Black.

In a rare left rear tire blowup, Deegan’s car was ripped to shreds. There was no way to repair the 15 car.

Hailie Deegan was struggling to move up very far in the field during her time on the track. It’s a tough place to find your footing. Without practice or qualifying, these drivers were out on the track with no previous laps turned when the race went green.

With less than 50 laps to go, Deegan had her car just break on her. Those tires can get worn out quickly at The Lady in Black. There is a reason why the track has the reputation that it does. Even Kyle Busch had fits with it in the Truck Series race on Friday night.

So, another tough finish for Deegan. The Xfinity Series season has not gone the way that she was hoping. Many though after her Truck Series woes a new team and series could ignite a fire in her. For now, things have not gone to her liking and I’m not sure how she can fix it.

Hailie Deegan continues to struggle

There have been a couple of bright spots this season for Hailie Deegan. However, for the most part, it has been a lack of speed. Since coming up to the Xfinity Series, things have not clicked the way that many expected them to for the young driver.

Her career-best finish of P12 from Talladega is overshadowed by a lack of top-20 results. She only has three on the season. AM Racing seemed to be a promising organization last season and now they look like a lesser version of themselves.

Darlington was not kind to the 15-team. At this point, just pick everything up, get ready for Charlotte, and take the off week to get yourself back on the right track. At least mentally speaking. A nice reset and then back to it as the push for the playoffs comes around.

Hailie Deegan with another tough finish this season. It isn’t clear what can stop this bleeding at the moment. However, the AM Racing team will have to think of something if they want to salvage this season.
