Last Sunday’s Talladega Cup race attracted a lot eyes to the NASCAR Cup Series. 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick scored the victory, taking advantage of a last lap wreck of Michael McDowell. He was joined on the victory lane by Michael Jordan, the co-owner of 23XI, and the NBA legends passionate celebration was covered by all media platforms.

2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick shared his opinion on the significance on Michael Jordan’s presence at Dega. He pointed out that it was the best thing that has happened in the 2024 season so far. Harvick also highlighted the passion and enthusiasm showed by the ex-NBA champion in his post-race interview.

The best thing that I’ve seen this year is Michael Jordan in victory lane, and being able to see his own car win. I think as much effort and time that he has put in to be able to actually physically be there in victory lane was a win for everybody on his team, everybody involved, everybody in this sport. Because Michael Jordan, you could hear the passion and enthusiasm that he has for this sport when Jamie Little interviewed him afterwards. Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour podcast.

Harvick wasn’t the only and the first person take give the same verdict. NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., ex-racer Kyle Petty and even Denny Hamlin had a lot to say about the significance of the moment. Without a doubt the race result was a huge PR success for the sport.

Kevin Harvick claims the win was a huge relief for Tyler Reddick

The ex-Stewart Haas Racing driver also discussed how big the win is for Tyler Reddick. He pointed out that the No:45 Toyota driver had a lot of pressure on his shoulders and finally delivering win, after multiple losses in the previous week, is a huge relief for him.

So, you can feel the emotion from Tyler Reddick and just the relief to get that car into victory lane, and I like that. I love the fire and the passion and enthusiasm…But he’s driving and acting like he expects to win every single week. That pressure that comes with that is tough to navigate until you’ve been in the middle of it. When you are in the middle of that and win, it is a huge relief. Kevin Harvick said.

Now that Reddick has secured a playoff berth, he would be looking forward to use the momentum to his advantage and score more victories. 23XI will have to continue fielding fast cars for both the driver and should also work on keeping their pit-stops clean.
