The 2024 season so far hasn’t been kind to two times NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano . He has secured just a single top-10 finish from four races and all of his other finishes are outside the top-25. At the same time his teammate and defending champion Ryan Blaney is leading the championship after consistent top-5 finishes.

Logano came into the 2024 season with the hopes of redeeming himself from the disappointing results he had during his failed title defense in the 2023 season. But with the tough start to the season, retired Cup champion Kevin Harvick has warned Joey Logano fans that the team might really struggle to produce good results in normal track considering they only performed better on Superspeedways.

I’m most concerned about #22, Joey Logano. That’s my biggest concern because they were good at Daytona, controlled the race, but man, giving yourself an opportunity to win Talladega and Daytona, that’s really the only two superspeedways we have left before the playoffs. I mean, is that their only chance to win at this point? I don’t know. They haven’t really shown the speed outside of Vegas, they didn’t show it at Phoenix. If I’m a Ford fan in general, I’m concerned.

Harvick said via Happy Hour podcast.

Harvick also warned the Ford fans as they haven’t still secured a win in all three national series. Chevy dominated the first three races, while Toyota, who has less teams than Fords, has also showed up with impressive wins. At the same time even the top teams at Ford like SHR is struggling to produce good results.

Kevin Harvick isn’t confident about the 2024 Fords

Harvick, despite Blaney leading the championship table, isn’t super confident about how the Ford teams can turn their season around. He admitted that he reckons Ford doesn’t have a car at the moment which is capable of Toyota and Chevy.

I think those guys have the experience to figure it out. I just don’t know if they have the car to compete with the Toyotas and the Chevrolets.

Harvick said.

The 2014 Cup champion has made some bold statements about the Ford teams runs and it should be taken into account by the Mustang teams. There is a limit to what the drivers with their skills can do on the track if they are not given the best cars to race. The Ford sides has to step and deliver soon before the other manufacturers take the next step.
