This weekend the NASCAR Cup Series is headed to Kansas Speedway. Kevin Harvick is looking forward to another fun race at the intermediate track. Fans can expect another great race as this seems to be the best track for the Next Gen car.

Last season we were treated to a dose of Denny Hamlin vs. Kyle Larson. Perhaps this is the first time that small rivalry was really heated up. Hamlin got Larson loose, which put him in the wall a bit. Then, the 11 car raced to victory.

The racing was fantastic. It gave us one of the most memorable races of this Gen 7 era.

With all of that in mind, Kevin Harvick gave out his prediction for this week. He is riding with Kyle Larson to avenge himself from last season and to get his second win of the season.

“I don’t think we have to go too far outside of the box of where we’ve been,” Harvick explained on his Happy Hour podcast. “So, I’m going to stick with Kyle Larson. I think they were good there last year and I think they’re going to be good everywhere and hard to beat.”

Larson isn’t a bad pick here, of course. He was there with a chance to win until he got involved with Denny. Or Denny got involved with him. To be fair, Larson acknowledged that it was a fair move, using aero to get the 5 car loose and go by him.

Kevin Harvick might just be playing homer, though. Let’s not forget he just announced he will drive the No. 5 car during practice at North Wilkesboro. Larson will be in Indianapolis focusing on qualifying for the Indy 500.

Kevin Harvick picks Kyle Larson to win at Kansas

The AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway is going to be fun. If you have be frustrated by the lack of horsepower, tire fall-off, the aero blocking, whatever it is – you are going to see a different kind of racing this weekend.

Multiple groove tracks unleash the greatness of this car. The only issue is when you put it on a single or two-wide track. Given what we have seen from the track in the last couple of years, it should be a thrilling race.

Kevin Harvick agrees with Las Vegas this week on the winner. Kyle Larson is favored at +380 by FanDuel Sportsbook. It’s no surprise to see Larson favored. Honestly, he is more weeks than not. Right now, he’s lagging behind his teammate William Byron and rival Denny Hamlin on wins this season.

Keep an eye out this weekend for Larson at Kansas. More importantly, keep an eye out for Hamlin if you see him running behind the 5 car with 10 laps to go.
