NASCAR recently took over the control of the iconic Bowman Grey track following the acquisition of Winston-Salem Speedway Inc. The premier stock car racing sanctioning body will manage the track till 2050 as per current lease agreement. After the announcement, rumours started to arise that the track might host a race in 2025 season.

Two times NASCAR Cup champion Kyle Busch, ahead of the COTA Cup race was asked about potentially racing at Bowman Grey. The RCR driver wasn’t impressed by the proposal and give sarcastic verdict about the rumours. He said that the chaos that the track will be bring will be more entertainment for NASCAR fans.

I don't know that I've ever seen a good race out of that place. I have seen plenty of highlight reels and on TV issues of guys running through the infield and crashing other guys' cars and getting out and fighting and what have you. So, we're in the entertainment business and the more calamity and chaos we can have, the better. So, sign us up. Kyle Busch told Fox Sports with a cheeky smile.

Buch is making a strong case on why it isn’t a good idea to race at Bowman Grey indirectly by praising it. Fans are aired fed up with the too much contacts that is happening at the LA Clash and the BG race would only be much worse. None of the late model races at the track has ended clean and the same can be expected.

Chase Elliott doesn’t sound much interested in a Bowman Grey race just like Kyle Busch

2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott also shared his opinion on a potential race at the track. He pointed out that a race at Bowman Grey would be similar to the Clash and he isn’t a big fan of races where so much bumping happens. Elliott asserted that the track is too small for racing the current Cup cars.

I thought it was really similar to the Clash, you know, probably not my favorite of events, you know, just from the standpoint of it's really small for these big cars ... Obviously, a lot of bumping happens at the Coliseum and you can kind of get away with that. So, I guess from that standpoint, it would be better, but I just think those places are a little too small for our cars. Chase Elliott said.

Most of the NASCAR Cup grid doesn’t seem to be interested in the idea of racing at Bowman Grey with the current cup car. There is a big possibility that NASCAR would embarrass itself if they race at Bowman Grey as it can become a wreck fest. It would not be a good look for the sport if the race turned out like that regardless of how entertaining it would be.
