Celebrities and athletes attend Barrett-Jackson quite often, but one of NASCAR’s many popular faces was in the house at WestWorld of Scottsdale on Friday.

Retired cup series driver Kurt Busch posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account that he was taking in what the automotive auction has to offer.

Busch, a former University of Arizona student, raced for 20-plus years in NASCAR and achieved major accolades along the way.

He won 34 races, finished in the Top-10 339 times, claimed 28 poles and was the first ever champion when the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs was created.

On Aug. 23, 2023, Busch’s retirement from the series was announced after he suffered a concussion. Causing the injury and lingering effects, he was in a crash during qualifying at Pocono Raceway on Jul. 23 that year.

After tonight, Saturday and Sunday wrap up Barrett-Jackson’s nine-day event for this month in Scottsdale until the company returns in October for a fall auction.
