Netflix officially released the trailer to “NASCAR: Full Speed” Wednesday ahead of the series’ launch date on Jan. 30.

The five-part docuseries tracks the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs and championship race through the lens of drivers Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Ross Chastain, Denny Hamlin, Bubba Wallace, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Joey Logano and Tyler Reddick.

Chastain called his time being part of the docuseries an “awesome experience.”

“Being part of @NASCAR: Full Speed was an awesome experience,” Chastain wrote on X. “I am looking forward to seeing the final product. I think the fans will really enjoy it and I am excited how many new fans we will reach on @netflix. Check it out starting January 30th!”

Speaking with Tudum, Chastain described NASCAR drivers such as himself as “bada--es.”

“We’re bada--es,” Chastain said. “This sport has a whole garage full of the best mechanics, the best engineers, the best everything. This is it.”

NASCAR further growing sport through Netflix docuseries

The docuseries promises to give viewers an inside look at what it takes to compete for a championship. Tim Clark, NASCAR senior vice president and chief digital officer, called NASCAR the “most competitive form of motorsport on the planet.”

“This is the most competitive form of motorsport on the planet,” Clark said. “People are going to see it up close and see the beating and the banging and the aggressiveness of the drivers, but also the skill of the drivers — and what they’re able to do with a race car [driving at] 200 miles an hour, around 38 other race cars, hitting the same spot for 400 miles.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr., executive producer, said viewers will see what it’s like to run at the top level of motorsports.

”NASCAR: Full Speed provides an incredible opportunity for folks to learn more about how this sport works, who these drivers are as people and competitors. And what makes them the best in the world at what they do,” Earnhardt Jr. told PEOPLE.
