Tony Stewart and his Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) team are undergoing a massive upheaval for their 2024 season. The team is not just burning rubber on the tracks; they’re also delivering a dose of humor with a recreation of an iconic scene from Leonardo DiCaprio‘s blockbuster, “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

In a YouTube clip, Stewart and his 2024 driver lineup take a hilarious spin on DiCaprio’s stock-selling prowess. The title of the YouTube clip sets the tone: “POV: telling people about our 2024 racer lineup.” The team’s upcoming season sees a major shakeup, with retirements paving the way for fresh faces like Noah Gragson and Josh Berry to rev up the excitement.

While the recreated scene unfolds, DiCaprio’s words echo;

“The reason for the call today, John, is something just came across my desk, John. If you have 60 seconds, I’d like to share the idea with you. You got a minute?”

The quirky twist adds a touch of Hollywood charm to the NASCAR world. The Wolff of the Wall Street was a box office blockbuster in 2013, that went on to mark over $400 million in grossing. In stark contrast, Stewart faced a tumultuous turn in 2013 when a sprint car crash abruptly halted his season. A collision in Iowa resulted in a broken tibia and fibula, forcing Stewart to bow out of the remaining races and ending his impressive streak of 521 consecutive starts.

SHR’s latest addition secures the ex-spotter of Chase Elliott and Jeff Gordon

Fast forward to 2024, and SHR is making waves with strategic signings. Eddie D’Hondt, known for his success with Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliott, joins as the spotter for Josh Berry. Berry, embarking on his first full-time Cup Series campaign, expressed excitement about working with D’Hondt, emphasizing the spotter’s invaluable experience.

SHR has also announced the retention of Andy Houston, who will shift from the No. 41 to the No. 10 Ford Mustang, providing support for second-year driver Noah Gragson. Additionally, Joe Campbell will continue his role as the spotter for the No. 14 Ford Mustang, piloted by Chase Briscoe.

As the team gears up for the 2024 season, the spotlight is on Berry inheriting the spotter behind Chase Elliott’s championship triumph. The revamped spotter lineup blends seasoned wisdom with emerging talent, setting the stage for an exciting journey for Stewart-Haas Racing.
