Kyle Busch reveals hilarious Joey Logano shade involving son Brexton

Kyle Busch took a shot at Joey Logano while talking about his son Brexton with Denny Hamlin. On the Actions Detrimental podcast, Busch talked about the one issue that could have happened with Brexton’s birth date.

“So Brexton’s due date was on the 22nd, and I was like we are not having a Logano baby. F**k that,” Busch told Hamlin. “I was like, is 18 an option?”

Busch said that because Logano drives the No. 22 car. Fortunately for Busch, Brexton was born on May 18, 2015. At that time, the two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion was driving the No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Kyle Busch and Joey Logano have had their battles on the track over the years. At this year’s Daytona 500, Busch criticized Logano for causing a crash late in the race.

“Looks like the fastest car got in a hurry to get to the wreck,” Busch said, per NASCAR.com. “Logano was by far the fastest car today. Saw a lot of laps led. And he could about do anything. The Penske cars were very strong.

“We still got (15) laps to go, and he’s trying to go through the middle and make a hole that isn’t there and just created chaos. I hate it for all of our guys. We had a fast car, and we were in position and just kind of biding our time. You’ve got to know how wide your race car is to be able to find a hole that it’ll fit in, and he obviously doesn’t know that.”

In 2023, Logano spun Busch at the Clash. Busch earned a P3 finish and expressed his displeasure with Logano after the race.

“It’s really unfortunate to be raced by guys who are so two-faced,” Busch said on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, per Yahoo Sports. “We were in the TV booth earlier in the night together and when we were all done with that he was like ‘Hey man, good luck tonight.’ I’m like ‘OK, great. Thanks. Yeah … whatever,’ and then lo and behold, there you go, he wrecks me. Don’t even talk to me if you’re gonna be that kind of a–hole on the race track.”

Busch and Logano are two of the most successful drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series. Along with winning two Cup Series titles, Busch has won 63 Cup Series races, the most for a current full-time driver. Logano has won 37 Cup Series races and three Cup Series championships
