76ers managing partners donating Chromebooks to Philadelphia students

The Philadelphia 76ers managing partners are doing their part amid the coronavirus outbreak. Josh Harris and David Blitzer are donating 10,000 Chromebooks to students in the Philadelphia school district, according to the Philly Inquirers Keith Pompey. 

With the NBA season on pause and schools having students learn from home due to COVID-19, this was a no-brainer for Harris and Blitzer. Many students don't have their own computers, so the donation will not only be heavily appreciated by many, but also necessary.

This isn't the first time something like this has been done in response to the coronavirus. Many team owners have pledged money to pay their employees and give them medical benefits during this tough time.

Harris and Blitzer also made a donation to the Philabundance nonprofit organization, which used the money to buy 20,000 boxes of food for 160,000 people in Philadelphia, according to Bleacher Report. 

Many Philly-area athletes have also helped the area, including Flyers captain Claude Giroux, Sixers forward Tobias Harris, Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins and Eagles tight end Zach Ertz.
