The Philadelphia 76ers will head into Monday night’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers shorthandedly. Heading into the game, the Sixers kept Danuel House on the injury report while adding Jaden Springer once again.

Heading into the Saturday night matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Sixers labeled Danuel House as questionable due to a left quad bruise. Although he was considered a game-time decision for some time, the team eventually ruled him out officially before tip.

While Springer wasn’t initially on the injury report heading into the matchup with the Thunder, the young guard was ruled out as the game was in play. According to the team’s injury report, Springer has been dealing with an illness.

The Sixers kept the two players on the injury report heading into their Monday night matchup against the Lakers. For some time, the Sixers considered Springer and House to be questionable. However, that changed on Monday morning, following the team’s shootaround session.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Gina Mizell, the Sixers have ruled out Springer and House for Monday’s game. That will mark the second-straight matchup they will miss, leaving the Sixers’ bench shorthanded once again.

Lately, House has been a frequent contributor to the Sixers. Over the past seven games he played, the veteran has averaged 14 minutes on the floor. While Springer’s playing time has been inconsistent, he averaged 15 minutes on the court in the previous five games he played. With those two out, the Sixers will continue to extend longer shifts to Robert Covington and Patrick Beverley.

In addition, the Sixers continue to roll without Kelly Oubre. As the veteran wing recovers from a fractured rib, he’s set to be re-evaluated sometime this week. While Oubre’s return could be a lot sooner than initially expected, the Sixers haven’t issued a timeline for him just yet. He’ll remain out for Monday’s game against Los Angeles.
