The Philadelphia 76ers are back on the floor Saturday night to face the Milwaukee Bucks. Going into the matchup, the Sixers had just one player listed with an injury in the veteran center, Dewayne Dedmon.

Lately, Dedmon has battled hip soreness. Since he participated in his first practice session with the Sixers following the All-Star break, Dedmon found himself on the team’s injury report. Going into the Memphis Grizzlies matchup a couple of weeks ago, Dedmon was listed as questionable.

Not long before the game started, the Sixers ruled Dedmon out for the night. The setback ended up becoming more of an issue than the Sixers initially anticipated. When Philadelphia prepared for their February 25 matchup against the Boston Celtics, Dedmon was ruled out right away.

In the following two games against the Miami Heat, the trend continued. Sixers head coach Doc Rivers mentioned that while Dedmon’s setback wasn’t deemed serious, he was expected to miss a couple of games. When the Sixers went head-to-head with the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night, Dedmon missed his fifth-straight game.

Going into Saturday’s battle against the Milwaukee Bucks, Dedmon was upgraded to questionable on the injury report. Following the team’s morning shootaround, Dedmon was an active participant in post-shootaround drills, which was a good sign he could play on Saturday night.

After being listed as questionable, Dedmon was officially upgraded to available for the matchup, according to The Athletic. Saturday’s game marks the second time Dedmon will suit up for the Sixers since joining them in mid-February.

Whether Dedmon will make his official debut or not is unclear.
