Alex Rodriguez responds after T-Wolves' Anthony Edwards said 'I don't know who that is'

It was revealed over the weekend that former Major League Baseball star Alex Rodriguez and billionaire Marc Lore are going to become the new owners of the Minnesota Timberwolves

Several Timberwolves players, including Karl-Anthony Towns, are on board with the former New York Yankee taking over the franchise. However, rookie Anthony Edwards doesn't even know who Rodriguez is, adding that he knows nothing about baseball.

Rodriguez responded to Edwards in an Instagram post, saying, "Hi Anthony. I'm Alex!" Edwards shared the post to his Instagram story with an emoji that represents awkwardness or embarrassment, adding, "what's good my guy."

It's not necessarily surprising that Edwards doesn't know who Rodriguez is. He mentions he knows nothing about baseball and Rodriguez has been retired since 2016.

The two will have plenty of time to get acquainted, though, with Rodriguez and Lore expected to take over full control of the Timberwolves in 2023.
