Andre Drummond, Cam Thomas added to Nets' lengthy injury report

The Brooklyn Nets haven't been under the .500 mark this season since they fell to 2-3 on Oct. 27 following a loss to the Miami Heat. They're still barely over the benchmark of mediocrity at 32-30 entering Tuesday night's road game -- and second game of a back-to-back -- against the Toronto Raptors, but they're fading fast in the Eastern Conference standings.

The team is still awaiting the return of Kevin Durant from his knee injury and Joe Harris from his ankle injury, while Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons also aren't scheduled to be on the court vs. Toronto for myriad reasons. Now, a pair of other key contributors have been added to the Nets' injury report.

Drummond was acquired along with Simmons and Seth Curry (and two first-round picks) from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for James Harden and Paul Millsap at the February trade deadline. The former Detroit Pistons star is in his 10th season in the league and has averaged 6.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 18.8 minutes per game, while taking the court for 55 contests including 18 starts.

In six games since joining Brooklyn -- all of them starts -- Drummond has posted 9.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 21.7 minutes per contest.

Thomas was the team's first-round pick at 27th overall in 2021 and has averaged 9.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 19.8 minutes per game across 51 tilts (two starts), and has registered a .438/.272/.824 shooting line. The LSU product was particularly hot in February, as he scored in double-figures in 10 of the final 11 games of the month, including a career-high 30 points on Feb. 4.
