Andre Drummond reportedly generating interest from eight to 10 teams

With their season falling apart, the Cavaliers are looking to trade Andre Drummond to start building for the future. And though the decision by the Cavs to bench their center while assessing his value on the trade market has stirred up some controversy, it has not affected teams' interest in Drummond, as several teams are reportedly looking to acquire him.

Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor reported that sources told him that Drummond "is generating interest on the trade market from around 8-10 teams," which would indicate that the Cavs should almost certainly be able to find a willing trade partner for the 27-year-old. But for now, Drummond will remain on the bench, as Cleveland has decided not to play him in order to ensure that he is not injured before a trade can be completed.

Adding Drummond involves a certain amount of risk for any time, as he is in a contract year, meaning that a team may only have him for the remainder of the season. However, since he is playing for a new contract, Drummond may be extra motivated to play his best where ever he lands. Drummond is averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game this season but is shooting less than 50% from the field, which is low for a center.
