After masterminding the walloping of the Phoenix Suns, Anthony Edwards couldn’t help but admire the greatness his idol Kevin Durant attained despite the defeat. Ant-Man made this known while addressing the media after the game and admitted at some point, he became a fan watching KD.
He asserted that despite the defensive efforts by Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert , they just couldn’t stop his idol from making a series of buckets. He also ended up tipping his hat for him and calling him the best.
If I'm not mistaken, he made four or five straight buckets like it was nothing. And I became a fan at one point, like I was out there like, 'God damn, he nice.' It's nothing we can do. Kendrick Perkins was amazed at the competitiveness displayed by Anthony Edwards in last night’s win over the Phoenix Suns. He compared him to big names like Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden due to his leadership acumen.
