The Minnesota Timberwolves will be playing against the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs. It will be one of the most exciting postseason matchups because of the basketball and the drama that will ensue.

Anthony Edwards is the Timberwolves' best player. He is authentic, so he will talk trash if he wants to. The Warriors have Draymond Green, a player who can be a bit of a magnet for drama.

Most people will want to discuss the basketball matchup between these two teams because it is quite exciting. Seeing Edwards going toe-to-toe with Stephen Curry is fun, especially since they are two of the league's best three-point shooters.

At the same time, Rudy Gobert playing as the defensive anchor in a Playoff series opposite Draymond is also a fun dynamic. This will be a phenomenal postseason series that could go to seven games.

Anthony Edwards Wants To Silence Draymond Green

Through the past decade, the NBA has become familiar with Draymond Green and his antics. He is a phenomenal basketball player, especially on the defensive end. However, he has gotten under people's skin because he can be abrasive with his actions and trash talk.

Even Anthony Edwards knows this, which is why he made comments in 2023 about a potential matchup against Golden State. Those comments resurfaced because Edwards got his wish of playing against Green and the team from the Bay Area.

"I want to play the Warriors. I want to get to the Warriors. Wherever they at, I want to get to them," Edwards said before the 2023 postseason. "Because Draymond talks so much trash. That's pretty much the only reason."

It is a good motivation because most players would want to silence Draymond after all the years he has spent at the top of the NBA food chain. The Timberwolves have the momentum ahead of this series after beating the Los Angeles Lakers, but the Warriors should not be underestimated.

Edwards Will Want To Have Another Strong Series

In the series against the Lakers, Edwards averaged an impressive 26.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists. He will look to play at that level again, as he will be playing against multiple Warriors defenders.

Draymond will probably have a shot defending him, and the same goes for Jimmy Butler. This is a star-studded matchup between the Timberwolves and the Warriors.

This series will be one of the best for fans, and Edwards will want to put on one hell of a show again. The chess match between Chris Finch and Steve Kerr is a good story to follow due to their talented rosters headlined by superstars.
