Bam Adebayo says he's not 100 percent physically after COVID-19 bout

The Miami Heat should be doing everything in their power to get Bam Adebayo ready for the postseason.

According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson and Anthony Chiang, Adebayo admitted that he's still not feeling 100 percent physically after testing positive for the coronavirus.

Adebayo previously said he wasn't experiencing any symptoms following his positive test, though obviously, that wasn't true.

"Mentally I feel like I'm ready. Physically my body says otherwise sometimes," he said.

Adebayo, along with teammates Kendrick Nunn and Derrick Jones Jr., tested positive for COVID-19 last month. The 22-year-old is having a stellar campaign for the Heat this season averaging 16.1 points, 10.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.

If the Heat want to move past the first round of the playoffs, they should hope Adebayo is feeling more like himself come Aug. 17.
