76ers star Ben Simmons had a pretty rough season, capped off by a playoff run that fell way short of expectations.

Still, in spite of it all, Ben took some time to reflect on his journey, expressing appreciation for how far he has come...

Reflecting back I’ve experienced some amazing highs and with that, some of the lowest lows. Life’s a journey.. I’ll always remain relentless and remain human through it all. Here’s to my 25 year #Relentlesspursuit doing what I love on my bday I’m blessed

Simmons, who turned 25 today, has had quite the NBA career so far.

After being drafted first in the 2016 draft, he would miss that entire season before finally making his debut in October of 2017.

He won Rookie of the Year, leading many fans to believe he was destined to become basketball's next great superstar.

While he never lived up to that identity, he would cement his place as a cornerstone player for the Sixers, who have enjoyed years of success following his arrival.

Even with all the flaws in his game, and the way they got exposed just a few weeks ago, Simmons is a 3x All-Star and 2x All-Defensive player.

He's got a lot to be proud of.
