After defeating the Houston Rockets for their third straight win, the Bulls appeared composed and prepared to start a strong win streak similar to the one they enjoyed during December. With both Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic back, this looks possible and within reach.

Following these recent impressive performances, Bill Simmons boldly made a statement about the Bulls.

A Top-6 team in the East?

Shortly after Chicago smacked Houston on Wednesday night, renowned basketball expert Bill Simmons daringly delivered a shocking claim - the Bulls are a force in the Eastern Conference.

In an X post, Simmons argued that Chicago is a Top-6 team in the East — a strong regard considering what the entire team has been through in the initial portion of the 2023-24 season. As such, this post by Simmons already gained over 2,100 likes and plenty of approval amongst hoop netizens.

A refreshing sight for Chi-town

Record-wise, the Wednesday dub gave the Bulls a tighter grip at the ninth spot of the Eastern Conference ranking. They now have an improved 18-21 and are 4.5 games behind the current sixth team in the Cleveland Cavaliers (21-15).

The Bulls still have a considerably long way to go, but at least there have been positive swings and considerations from many which they have to be thankful for. At one point in the season, they were 5-14 while enduring slews of trade speculations. But now, they are on the rise and have been flashing the competitive promise that people expected.

With both Zach and Vooch back from injuries and gradually reclaiming their All-Star ways, Chicago can only be delighted about their future exploits as they move forward this season.
