Prior to suffering an injury in their first-round NBA Playoff series loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard was treating Walt Disney World like his own personal playground.

One of the NBA’s most-gifted scorers averaged an absurd 37.6 points to go with 4.3 rebounds and 9.6 assists while shooting 44% from three-point range in the eight seeding games.

In the past, Lillard had drawn comparisons to a three-time NBA champion playing in his old neck of the woods out in Northern California. He’s not having it.

Damian Lillard not down with the Stephen Curry comparisons

The five-time NBA All-Star is not mincing words here. He does not want to be compared to Curry. It’s that simple. Though, there’s a reason for said comparisons.

Curry revolutionized the game of basketball with his ability to hit from anywhere on the court. Prior to his arrival in Oakland, 30-foot three-point shots were seen as foolish. It’s now become a common theme with Dame following suit. Logo threes, as they are called, are now a trend around the Association.

As for Curry and Lillard, they are going to be tied at the hip.

Stephen Curry stats since start of 2014-15 NBA season

Points per game: 26.5

Assists per game: 6.5

Field goal %: .484

Three point %: .432

Damian Lillard stats since start of 2014-15 NBA season

Points per game: 25.8

Assists per game: 6.7

Field goal %: .440

Three point %: .370

Lillard might not like the comparison, but it does make sense to an extent.
