The Miami Heat pulled off a shocker on Wednesday night, as they took down the top seed in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics, to the tune of a 111-101 win at TD Garden. It was just a loss and not the end of the world for the Celtics, but many are already left wondering whether it’s the start of an embarrassing fall for Boston in the first round.

Fans Wonder Whether the Boston Celtics are in Major Trouble

“Celtics shoot too many 3s that’s they damn problem soon as they go cold from 3 they in trouble offensively bc they don’t know how to do anything else,” said @_Tyrone___.

“Celtics are definitely in big trouble if their opponent decides to hit the 4th most threes in NBA history against them every night. Tough path to the title that one,” stated @Handsome_Jake_.

“I watch every single game. Giving this effort at home against an injured Miami team shows a lack of heart and toughness. Yes Miami shot great, but that’s what happens when you give NBA players wide open looks. Boston is in serious trouble,” added @TJI_Celtics.

“If Miami can shoot ~50% from 3 for an entire series on that volume, Celtics in trouble,” chimed in @gavinpaul_6.

“Watch tomorrow media be flooded with “Celtics are in trouble” we got hardly any coverage when we smoked them by 30,” opined @celticgreen823.

“If the Celtics having trouble beating the Heat without Jimmy Butler.. Why should the Knicks be so scared of them??” asked @YUNGHOFFA718.

The Celtics were primarily doomed in Game 2 by the Heat’s scorching hot outside shooting. Miami hit a total of 23 triples on a 53.5 percent success rate from deep. That kind of form is going to be hard to sustain, so the Celtics can hope for Miami’s shooting to cool down in Game 3. Then again, the Celtics can’t allow a rejuvenated Heat side to get early momentum in the upcoming game in South Beach this coming Saturday.
