On Thursday, the Phoenix Suns held their introductory press conference for newly acquired three-time All-Star Bradley Beal.

Right off the bat, Beal reminded everyone that Devin Booker is still the backbone of this Suns team.

And Bradley Beal could not be more right with this statement.

Devin Booker is the reason why the Suns have been a legitimate playoff contender over the past three seasons.

It was Devin Booker who stuck with the Suns while they were at their lowest. It was also Booker who attracted some of the best talent from across the league.

Beal also commented on his opportunity to play with two “Hall of Famers” this upcoming season.

“You go in and you be who you are…I’m excited to play with two Hall of Famers. They’ll push me in ways I haven’t been pushed.”

While the Suns are certainly not done with their offseason moves, the addition of Bradley Beal has boosted their championship odds to +600, only behind the Celtics and Nuggets.
