This past Saturday, the Cleveland Cavaliers made their preseason roster cuts heading into the 2023-24 regular season.

In our last Cavaliers roster breakdown, we examined the team’s small forwards to open the regular season.

With Cleveland playing its first regular season game tonight, here is a breakdown of the power forwards on the team's season-opening roster.

Evan Mobley

Taken with the third overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Evan Mobley has had a stellar start to his NBA career. He has been named an NBA All-Star Rising Star in each of his first two seasons.

Last season, Mobley was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team and finished third in Defensive Player of the Year voting.

Georges Niang

The Cavaliers signed Georges Niang to a three-year, $26 million contract in free agency during the offseason.

Niang is one of the NBA’s premier stretch forwards, as he is one of just 10 NBA players to shoot at least 40 percent from three and make at least 500 three-pointers over the last five seasons.

Dean Wade

After signing a two-way contract with the Cavaliers as an undrafted free agent in 2019, Dean Wade signed a three-year contract extension with Cleveland in 2022.

In four seasons with the Cavaliers, the 6-foot-9 forward has averaged 5.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game with a 36.2% three-point percentage, mainly off the bench.

Isaiah Mobley (Two-Way Contract)

Cleveland selected Isaiah Mobley with the 49th overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft.

A talented forward who happens to be Evan's older brother, Mobley was named the NBA 2K24 Summer League MVP this offseason, averaging 17.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals per game en route to a Cavaliers summer league title.

In our final Cavaliers roster breakdown, we’ll examine Cleveland’s centers.
