With the trade deadline on the horizon, all 30 teams in the NBA are keeping themselves busy in preparation for either the second-half portion of the season or soon in the future. In the case of the Milwaukee Bucks, they are also in the mix and have been taking Thursday's deadline seriously.

Bucks on the grind ahead of trade deadline

In the latest episode of The Hoop Collective podcast, ESPN's Brian Windhorst named the Bucks as one of the most active teams before the trade deadline.

Despite having limited resources, Windy revealed that Milwaukee is taking an aggressive approach by formulating several trade ideas with other teams in hopes of landing a deal.

"Milwaukee is definitely trying," said Windhorst. "I was talking to a team just last night where they have been talking with Milwaukee, and they were like, 'They must have dozens of trade scenarios they have been pitching. Trying three-way deals, all kinds of stuff.'

"Basically, to get anybody in there that can defend a little bit, particularly on the perimeter.

A needed and urgent approach

This shouldn't come as a surprise. Team general manager Jon Horst has been well known for making moves before the trade deadline since taking a seat as the franchise's top executive.

The Bucks might have limited assets to offer, but they have salary-matching pieces to offer and a juicy 2024 second-round pick from the Portland Trail Blazers that may entice rival teams.

With how the season has been shaping up from the competitive standpoint, the Bucks certainly need to attempt even a slight retooling in preparation for this season's title hunt.
