Bucks deal Warriors massive blowout, including 39-point halftime lead

A marquee matchup of two top NBA contenders was hardly a game at all Thursday night. The Milwaukee Bucks dominated the Golden State Warriors, 118-99, in a blowout that was much worse than the final score even indicated.

Milwaukee led 77-38 at halftime with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis combining for more points on their own (40) than the entire Warriors team. The 39-point halftime deficit was the largest for the Warriors in their nearly six decades in California.

Portis capped the Bucks' huge first half with a buzzer-beater at the end of the second quarter.

The Warriors dropped to 30-11 on the season and are still second in the Western Conference, but the loss was the team's fourth in five games. Stephen Curry finished with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Andrew Wiggins led the Warriors with 16 points.

Antetokounmpo recorded the 28th triple-double of his career with 30 points, 11 assists and 12 rebounds.
