Bucks' Eric Bledsoe arrives in Orlando to begin quarantine

A week after revealing he had tested positive for coronavirus, Eric Bledsoe has arrived in Orlando and is planning on rejoining the Bucks once he has completed his quarantine.

Last week, it was confirmed that Bledsoe had tested positive, with the point guard revealing that he was asymptomatic and "feeling fine." Now, he will be required to undergo at least two days of quarantine, with him needing to produce two negative tests 24 hours apart. Obviously, this means he will not be able to participate in the Bucks' scrimmage Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs.

Getting a healthy Bledsoe in time for the restart would be a solid boost for the Bucks, as he was averaging 15.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game this season. The Bucks hope to maintain their dominant position in the Eastern Conference and having all available players will help them fight off the Celtics, Raptors, and any other team that tries to challenge them.

Bledsoe is not the only Buck hoping to get back to the team following a positive coronavirus test. Reserve guard Pat Connaughton released a statement saying he had tested positive and, as a result, had not traveled with the team in Orlando. Connaughton played in 61 games this season, averaging 5.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. Coach Mike Budenholzer expressed cautious optimism that the two would be back with the team.

"We're fully expecting them and very hopeful,'' Budenholzer said. "With this virus, you never know.''
