Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley could miss 3-4 months with wrist surgery. The NBA veteran said on his podcast that he has a torn ligament in his right wrist.

The Bucks acquired Beverley from the Philadelphia 76ers in February. Beverley is averaging 5.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks with Milwaukee while shooting 34.4% from the field, 34.0% from beyond the arc and 78.9% from the free-throw line.

One of the best defenders in the NBA, Beverley has appeared in 66 games with the Sixers and Bucks this season. The Chicago native has a 40-26 record.

Milwaukee is in second place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 46-26. The Bucks lost to the Los Angeles Lakers last night (3/26) despite having a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter.

“We let our foot off and we got burned,” Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said. “That’s all that is. When we played right at the beginning of the game, it was beautiful basketball. We stopped playing right and thought we could still win and we couldn’t.

“First game in a while — it will be a good lesson for us — we didn’t trust the pass tonight. A lot of zero-pass shots or one-pass shots. And when we play like that — you know, we get away with it some nights because guys made shots — but we lost our trust.”

“I thought where we hurt them most, the ball was moving. It was like first side, second side, attack, the ball was dictating where the shot was,” Bucks star Damian Lillard said. “And I think down the stretch, we all kind of held on to it a little bit more.”
