Bulls coach Billy Donovan rips Bucks' Grayson Allen for 'really dangerous' foul

Grayson Allen of the Milwaukee Bucks was ejected Friday night after a hard foul against the Chicago Bulls' Alex Caruso. After the game, Bulls coach Billy Donovan made it clear that he agreed with the officials' decision.

“For Alex to be in the air like that, and for [Allen] to take him down like that, it could have ended [Caruso’s] career,” Donovan said in a postgame press conference after the Bucks' 94-90 win. “[Allen] has a history of this. That to me was really, it was really dangerous. And I really hope the league takes a hard look at something like that because [Allen] could have really, really seriously hurt him.”

Allen, 26, was ejected after officials decided to elevate the foul to a flagrant two following a replay review.

“For it to even be extended to a flagrant two and be thrown out of the game, clearly the officials must have felt like there was some intent there,” Donovan said.

Allen was acquired by the Bucks in an August trade with the Memphis Grizzlies. During his collegiate career at Duke, Allen developed a reputation for tripping opponents, and he was even suspended by coach Mike Krzyzewski during his junior season after tripping a player.

Milwaukee's Khris Middleton defended Allen after the game, calling it a "good, hard foul" that didn't deserve an ejection.
