On the eve of their NBA Play-In Game, the Chicago Bulls provided an unfortunate injury update . Forward Onuralp Bitim is dealing with a detached retina in his right eye, which will sideline him for the entire postseason.

Bitim appeared in 23 games for the Bulls during the regular season and provided a spark off the bench as injuries piled up. The Turkish forward averaged 3.5 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 11.7 minutes per game.

Bitim initially joined the Bulls last summer on a two-way deal. However, Chicago rewarded Bitim with a standard contract in February after his strong G League performance and injuries to roster mainstays.

Bulls Injury Report Grows

Bitim joins a lengthy list of Bulls dealing with season-ending ailments.

He'll be watching postseason play from the bench alongside Lonzo Ball (left knee surgery), Zach LaVine (right midfoot surgery), and Patrick Williams (left midfoot surgery). Julian Phillips (right foot sprain) likely won't suit up either.

What's On Tap Next?

The Bulls begin the postseason Wednesday when they host the Atlanta Hawks for an NBA Play-In Game. Tip-off is at 8:30 PM CT and the game will air on ESPN.
