Bulls PF Patrick Williams expected to miss rest of season with dislocated wrist

After four straight wins to begin the 2021-2022 season, the revamped Chicago Bulls dropped their first game against the New York Knicks on Thursday. They also lost a whole lot more.

According to multiple reports, starting power forward Patrick Williams dislocated his left wrist during the team's game against New York, an injury that will likely sideline him for the rest of the regular season.

After the Bulls used their first-round lottery selection on Williams, the former Florida St. student-athlete played in all but one of the team's 72 contests. In 71 games, Williams averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists, while posting a shooting line of 48.3/39.1/72.8.

He was named to the All-Rookie Second Team and was set to play alongside a trio of All-Stars this season in Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic, as well as point guard Lonzo Ball, who earned Second-Team All-Rookie honors three years ago.

Through five games this season, Williams was averaging 6.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 25.0 minutes per contest with a 56.5/50.0/100.0 shooting line.
