On Thursday evening, the Detroit Pistons lost to the Utah Jazz by a score of 119-111 at home in Michigan.

The loss was their 25th in a row, which is only one less than the most in NBA history.

They are currently 2-26 in their first 28 games, which has them as the 15th seed (last place) in the Eastern Conference.

Following the game, Cade Cunningham met with the media, and his quote is going viral on social media (h/t NBA on ESPN Instagram).

Cunningham: "We're not 2-26 bad. You know what I mean? No way are we that bad. So, yes, I think we can turn it around. I think we can play a lot better brand of basketball than we're playing right now."

Cunningham finished his night with 28 points, seven rebounds, ten assists, two steals and one block while shooting 10/22 from the field and 2/6 from the three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.

He has played in all 28 games so far this season and is averaging 22.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 43.5% from the field and 32.5% from the three-point range.

Following the Jazz, the Pistons will play their next game on Saturday evening when they visit Mikal Bridges and the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center in New York.

Cunningham was the first pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Oklahoma State and is in his third season in the league (all with the Pistons).
