Free agent guard Carsen Edwards is in advanced talks with Turkish club Fenerbahce, as relayed by Bugra Uzar of Eurohoops.

Edwards, 24, is 5-foot-11 and spent the first two years of his career with the Celtics, before appearing in four games with the Pistons last season. He has also spent time with the Maine Red Claws and Salt Lake City Stars of the G League. While a bit undersized, shooting guard is his natural position.

Edwards was originally drafted by the 76ers in the second round (No. 33 overall) in 2019. He was traded from the Celtics to the Grizzlies before the start of last season, then was waived about a week later. He signed on with Detroit in April.

Overall, Edwards carries NBA career averages of 3.7 points and 36 percent shooting in 72 games. “After being waived, he put up a league-high 26.7 points per game along with 4.1 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per G League contest as a member of the Salt Lake City Stars,” Uzar wrote.
