The Cavaliers may be looking to trade forward Cedi Osman in a deal that would help them move into the first round of Thursday’s NBA Draft, league sources told Hoops Wire.

Cleveland is targeting several prospects that are expected to be gone by the time it selects at No. 49 overall, sources added.

Osman, 28, averaged 8.7 points on 45 percent shooting, including 37 percent on 3-pointers, in 77 games this past season. His non-guaranteed $6.7 million contract is viewed favorably by opposing teams.

The Clippers have held an interest in Osman in recent seasons and own the No. 30 pick. They have been mentioned as one of the teams that may have talked to the Cavs. The Pacers (Nos. 26 and 29) and Jazz (No. 28) are two others that are said to be looking to trade out of the late-first round.

As Hoops Wire reported last week, it is believed the Cavs have already spoken to the Pacers about acquiring one of Indiana’s final two first-round picks.

Others drafting later in the first round who are said to be open to moving their picks for veteran help: The Trail Blazers (No. 23), Kings (No. 24) and Grizzlies (No. 25).
