The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to trade center/forward Xavier Tillman to the Boston Celtics, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

In exchange, Memphis will receive a 2027 second-round pick (via the Atlanta Hawks) and a 2030 second-rounder (via the Dallas Mavericks), Wojnarowski reported.

Tillman, 25, is 6-foot-8 and has struggled a bit for the injury-plagued Grizzlies, averaging 6.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists, shooting a career-worst 40 percent from the field. He was a 55 percent shooter in his first three seasons, all with Memphis.

Meanwhile, the Celtics have been looking to beef up their bench since about mid-November, and Tillman might be just their first move ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.

Tillman was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the No. 35 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, then immediately traded to the Grizzlies. He carries career averages of 6.2 points and 4.3 rebounds, averaging career-highs of 7.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in 61 appearances last season.

His acquisition by the Celtics could mean the end of forward Lamar Stevens‘ run there.
