Celtics star Kemba Walker unlikely to play Game 4 vs. Nets due to knee injury

The Boston Celtics will likely be without one of their best players for Sunday's Game 4 against the Brooklyn Nets.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said point guard Kemba Walker is unlikely to play in the potential series-tying game due to a left knee injury, according to Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports. Robert Williams is also unlikely to play.

Walker struggled mightily in Boston's 125-119 Game 3 over Brooklyn at TD Garden. The 31-year-old had just six points on 3-of-14 shooting, including a 0-for-7 performance from three-point range. Walker also had five turnovers in Game 3, and the Celtics were outscored by 15 points in his 34 minutes on the court.

The four-time All-Star has struggled throughout the series, averaging 12.7 points and shooting just 31.7% from the field.

Injuries have hampered Walker over the last several seasons, with knee problems being his largest concern.

If the veteran does not play, it might take more than a 50-point performance from Jayson Tatum for the Celtics to walk away with a win.
