Former Wizard Garrison Mathews is signing a one-year, non-guaranteed deal with the Celtics, as Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Mathews had interest from other teams, including the Cavaliers.

The sharpshooter spent his first two seasons in the league splitting time between Washington and the G-League’s Capital City Go-Go while on a two-way contract.

Mathews has 24 starts during his 64 appearances for the Wizards. He averaged 5.5 points per game while hitting 38.4% of his shots from behind the arc.
