Chris Paul and teammates serve dinner for charity

Los Angeles Clippers players Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Paul Pierce and Wesley Johnson worked as servers Sunday evening at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills as part of charity event.

The event, which was put on by the Chris Paul Family Foundation, saw the Clippers players serve fine wines and dinner to guests who paid $1,500 for the opportunity to have NBA stars dote on their every need.

In all seriousness, the event was done in order to raise money for four different charitable organizations Paul contributes to: The Brotherhood Crusade ("dedicated to building and sustaining supportive services and programs that address health, education and social welfare as well as youth development issues"), Shoes That Fit ("committed to providing new shoes for children in need"), Vision to Learn ("provides children with free eye exams and free glasses"), and the SOS Children's Village ("the world's largest organization dedicated to orphaned and abandoned children based in South Africa").

"It's always great to have your teammates and different people come out for the cause," Paul said on Sunday. "We try to have as much fun as possible with it, but we also make sure that everyone understands that the real purpose of being here is giving back to the different groups."

As disliked a basketball team as the Clippers have become in the NBA, you do have to give them some credit for putting their egos aside and working as restaurant servers for a few great causes.
