Chris Paul enrolls at Winston-Salem State University

Oklahoma City Thunder star Chris Paul is going back to school.

Paul announced Friday on ESPN's "First Take" that he enrolled in a class at Winston-Salem State University. The historically Black school is located in his hometown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The 35-year-old also revealed that he's partnered with two other NBA players to help get students at historically Black colleges and universities to vote.

"We are providing transportation to HBCU students to get the polls, so we are working on that now," Paul said, according to HBCU Buzz.

Paul has been one of the most influential players when it comes to speaking about the Black Lives Matter movement and other various social justice causes. Paul, the NBPA president, advocated for the league to allow players to wear the names of social justice causes on their jerseys during the NBA's resumption at Walt Disney World, among other things.

The 10-time NBA All-Star attended Wake Forest before being selected fourth overall by the New Orleans Hornets in 2005.
