Even with more experienced and talented lineup, the Cleveland Cavaliers still lost Game 4 to the Paolo Banchero-led Orlando Magic, tying the series in the process. As a result, Donovan MItchell aired his frustration with this latest development.
In Game 4 between the two teams, the Magic went home with 112-89 victory over Cleveland. Franz Wagner put on an impressive performance by notching 34 points on 76 percent shooting from the field, 13 rebounds, and four assists. Jonathan Isaac made 14 points from the bench, while Paolo Banchero had an abysmal game of only nine points when he only connected 28 percent of his shots from the field.
For his part, Mitchell finished the game with 18 points and six assists in 36 minutes on the floor. Jarrett Allen posted 21 points by making 8-of-11 from the field and 5-of-7 from the free throw line. Meanwhile, Darius Garland and Evan Mobley added 14 points each in Cleveland’s Game 4 loss to the Magic.
The win helped Orlando even the series, a development that surprised many due to their youth and inexperience. The loss, however, have shown cracks in Cleveland’s armor and how their opponents are taking advantage of them.

After the game, Mitchell faced reporters and shared his thoughts about the game against Orlando. In a post shared by Chris Fedor on X:
“#Cavs Donovan Mitchell: “I told you after Game 1 this is who I am, and this is why I’m here. Both games we lost I haven’t been myself. It’s on me.”

As seen in the tweet above, Mitchell is taking the blame for the Cavs’ last two losses. Over the past four contests, the All-Star shooting guard is averaging 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. He’s also shooting 42 percent from the field and 25 percent from deep.
If Mitchell wants to Cleveland to advance, he may have to shoot better in the coming days. Otherwise, his time playing with the Cavaliers may soon come to an end. In any case, a lot is hanging on the line for the Cavs if they end up disappointing and losing to a younger Magic team in the first round of this year’s playoffs.
