Damian Jones is coming off a season where he played for both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Utah Jazz.
The former Vanderbilt star finished the year with averages of 3.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 64.0% from the field in 41 regular season games for the two teams.
On Saturday, the Cleveland Cavaliers officially announced that they have acquired the 28-year-old in a trade with the Jazz.
Via The Cavs: "The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired center Damian Jones from the Utah Jazz in exchange for cash considerations, Cavaliers President of Basketball Operations Koby Altman announced today."
In addition to the Jazz and Lakers, Jones has also spent time with the Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors.
With Golden State, Jones won two NBA Championships and made the NBA Finals three times (in his first three seasons in the league).
While he was not a key player on those teams, there is no question that Jones gained valuable experience playing with players such as Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.
