On Monday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers  will play the Indiana Pacers (in Indianapolis). 

Before the game, the team announced that they had officially signed Marcus Morris to a 10-day contract.   

Via The Cavs : "The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed forward Marcus Morris Sr. to a 10-day contract, Cavaliers President of Basketball Operations Koby Altman announced today from Cleveland Clinic Courts."

Morris played in 37 games for the Philadelphia 76ers this season and averaged 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range. 

He was traded from the 76ers to the San Antonio Spurs (who then  waived him). 

In addition to the 76ers, Morris has also spent time playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks. 

His career averages are 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest while shooting 43.5% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point range in 820 regular season games. 

He has also appeared in 67 NBA playoff games. 

As for the Cavs, they are in the middle of an excellent season as the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 42-25 record in 67 games.

They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Houston Rockets (in Texas) by a score of 117-103. 

Following their matchup with the Pacers, the Cavs will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they host Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat in Ohio.
