The Cavaliers enter the offseason with several question marks, including whether the backcourt of Darius Garland and Collin Sexton will remain intact.

While both players are drawing interest around the league, neither player is expected to be moved for draft picks or young players, Adrian Wojnarowski on ESPN’s Woj & Lowe. It appears Cleveland wants to take strides toward competition next season rather than building assets with an eye on rising up down the road.

Trade rumors surrounding Sexton have swirled all offseason. The former No. 8 overall pick is reportedly “very available” in trade talks and teams around the league are taking notice, including the Warriors. However, Golden State’s most valuable trade chips don’t fit the mold of what Cleveland is aiming for.

Teams around the league like Sexton’s talent but his fit as well as his looming contract extension are making teams wary of trading for the 22-year-old.

Sexton just had his best season from a statistical standpoint this past season. The Alabama product scored 24.3 points per game while making 47.5 percent of his shots from the field.

The trade rumblings surrounding Garland haven’t been as loud as Sexton’s and while the No. 4 overall pick remains in the Cavaliers’ long-term plans, he isn’t untouchable in the right deal.
