Clippers' Norman Powell out indefinitely with fractured bone in foot

Just one week after acquiring him in a blockbuster five-player trade , the Los Angeles Clippers have now lost newcomer Norman Powell indefinitely due to a foot injury.

Los Angeles is currently 28-30 and in eighth place in the Western Conference standings. They will host the Golden State Warriors at 10:30 p.m. ET on Monday.

In 40 games with the Portland Trail Blazers before being moved, Powell had been leading the team in three-point field goal percentage at 40.6% and third in points per game at 18.7. In his debut with the Clippers last Sunday, Powell dropped 28 points on 9-for-16 shooting, including 4-for-8 from beyond the arc.

Through his first three contests with his new squad, the 28-year-old had made two starts and was averaging 21.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 26.7 minutes per game.
