Despite missing the playoffs, the Golden State Warriors Steph Curry is still managing to add titles to his name. As the regular season awards are now getting announced, the Warriors’ sharpshooter has been named the Clutch Player of the Year for this season.

As the award was announced on Thursday, Steph Curry joined the TNT’s broadcast virtually to have a conversation with the Inside the NBA crew. Show’s co-host Shaquille O’Neal asked Curry about what the star was up to while sitting outside from the postseason.

I'm truly just a fan. Watching how it plays out… I'm taking notes, doing a little scouting…And next year trying to get back in there. Steph Curry said

The Golden State Warriors are expected to make some changes in their roster next year. Fans are suspecting that Curry’s scouting might be a step in that direction. When the Warriors lost their play-in game, Curry emphasized wanting to win and it seems like the star has already started working towards accomplishing that.

Curry was the only hope during the Warriors’ disappointing season. The star has multiple times taken the team to a victory in the closing moments with his last-minute unreal shots. The player’s ability to shoot from any part of the court in a matter of seconds has earned him the CPOY award. The guard is the second player in history to win the title.

Steph Curry wants the gold medal in his first Olympics

Curry will be the point guard in Team USA Men’s basketball team for this year’s Paris Olympics. The 36-year-old will compete in his first Olympics along with the star-studded roster of the best in the NBA. During his interview with the Inside crew, Charles Barkley was surprised that Curry would make his debut at this time in his career, considering his amazing resume.

Barkley then asked Curry about his thoughts on making an Olympic debut. Curry showed excitement to play with the talented roster and represent the country at such a high level. The star also acknowledged that this might be his first and last time playing in the competition.

We obviously wanna get the gold. And for me to be this my first experience...I'm 36 now, I don't know if I'll have another one. So, this is definitely the year. Steph Curry said

Curry is not the only player in the team who might be playing in their last international competition. With NBA veterans LeBron James and Kevin Durant, this might be the last time basketball fans will witness the iconic trio represent Team USA.
