Michael Jordan had a vendetta against Clyde Drexler, at least when they were facing each other.

Before the 1992 NBA Finals between the Chicago Bulls and Portland Trail Blazers, Drexler put himself in the same class with Michael.

“We’re the two best in the game, but I’m not getting in a war of words with Mike,” Drexler was quoted as saying.

But Jordan saw things differently.

In episode 5 of “The Last Dance,” Jordan acknowledged Drexler’s talent while still saying he wanted to crush him to prove a point.

“Clyde was a threat. Me being compared to him, I took offense to that. … Based on the way I was playing at that time, it wasn’t even close. So I attacked him every night,” Jordan said.

Jordan’s Bulls won the series 4-2 for their second straight championship. And while Drexler was an excellent player — a 10-time All-Star and Hall of Famer — Jordan wasn’t going to give him an inch when they were playing.
