Justin Holiday Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

On Wednesday evening, the Dallas Mavericks will be in Colorado to face off with the Denver Nuggets.

The Mavs are one of the most intriguing teams in the NBA because they recently traded for superstar point guard Kyrie Irving (from the Brooklyn Nets) to pair with Luka Doncic.

Before Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, the Mavs have announced the signing of 10-year veteran Justin Holiday.

Via Mavs PR: "The Dallas Mavericks have signed Justin Holiday.

"From the start of the 2018-19 season through the end of the 2020-21 season, Holiday saw action in every game (227 games, 135 starts). He also won an NBA Championship with the Warriors in 2015.

"Holiday will wear #0 for Dallas."

Holiday has played in 28 games this season (for the Atlanta Hawks), and is averaging 4.5 points per contest.

He had recently been traded to the Houston Rockets (who bought him out of his contract, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst).

Over his career, Holiday has also played for the Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Memphis Grizzlies and Philadelphia 76ers.

His career averages are 8.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest in 604 regular season games (on 36.4% shooting from the three-point range).

The 33-year-old will be a nice addition to the Mavs' bench, as they add depth for what hopes to be a deep run in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Right now, they are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 31-28 record in 59 games.
