Unlike the Dallas Mavericks , the Golden State Warriors are in vacation mode, as they did not even make it to the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

That means Draymond Green has so much time on his hands to talk about basketball, and in a recent episode of his “The Draymond Green Show” podcast, the four-time NBA champion said that he believes Luka Doncic and the Mavs will take care of business in the second round against the Oklahoma City Thunder as soon as the fifth game of the series.

“And I personally got Dallas winning this series. And I actually got Dallas winning this “series in five, six at best. And the reason I have Dallas winning that way is because I just don’t think OKC is big enough for Dallas. Dallas has length. When you look at PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford and Luka [Doncic], they also have girth,” Green said of the Mavericks.

“OKC has length, but they’re mostly skinny guys. I think Dallas’s physicality in this series will actually make the difference. They’re as good, if not better offensively. I don’t think Dallas is better defensively. But with their length and with their physicality, I think that will make them better defensively. they also have girth. OKC has length, but they’re mostly skinny guys, Green added.”

Draymond Green’s Dallas Mavericks Prediction in the Second Round is Not Looking Good

The Mavs did not make Green look good with the way they played in the series opener against the Thunder. Oklahoma City won Game 1 decisively, 117-95. Doncic was awful from the field, as he shot just 6/19 overall and only 1/8 from behind the arc to finish with 19 points. Kyrie Irving led the Mavs with 20 points. For what it’s worth, Gafford played well, as he had a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The season is still far from over, so Green can still hope for his prediction to hit.
