It’s that time of the year again for Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. With the new season about to tip off, the former back-to-back MVP went on his annual gift-giving drive wherein he surprised each member of the squad with a new pair of his latest Nike signature shoes.

Needless to say, there were a lot of smiles throughout the facility during Giannis’s gifting spree.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Gifts Entire Milwaukee Bucks Team With New Kicks

The pair that was in the spotlight on this particular occasion was the recently dropped Nike Zoom Freak 5, which is the latest iteration of Antetokounmpo’s signature line with the sportswear giant. The Bucks talisman literally brought in a cart stacked with dozens of his new kicks as he gifted each team member with a new pair:

It wasn’t just his teammates who got a pair, either. A number of staff members and employees also got themselves some new shoes as well in what was a truly endearing occasion.

Damian Lillard Reacts to Giannis’s Surprise

Obviously, new Bucks recruit Damian Lillard was also going to get himself a new pair. Not that Dame needs new kicks, but there’s no denying that the seven-time All-Star loved the gesture from his new teammate:

“Hey man, I appreciate it,” Lillard said upon being handed the gift. “I really appreciate this.”

Lillard himself has a signature shoe line, albeit with Adidas, and Giannis has already demanded his freebie as well:

“Make sure you give me one of yours, too,” Giannis responded.

Lillard, of course, promised to return the favor:

“I got you man,” Lillard said. “I need mine signed — your good signature.”

It is worth noting, however, that Lillard’s $100 million contract with Adidas now appears to be coming to an end. He signed the massive sponsorship deal back in 2014, and according to reports, there seems to be no significant progress when it comes to extension talks.

Who knows, perhaps Dame will be joining Giannis on Team Nike soon.
